This is truly a great discovery. Start by placing a strip of Teflon on the machine arm, behind the needle. Then cut a piece of 1 inch thick foam rubber into 4 inch strips. Roll the pieces of foam onto the back roller with your quilt. Lower the back roller until it touches the machine. This will give you some drag thus giving you more control for more detailed designs. The Teflon helps to make your movements smoother. The foam has to be removed each time you roll your quilt up to quilt a new area. Then it is rolled in again for the new area. The foam need cushions the roller against the machine. I swear my stitching is more even. I hope I described this in a way that makes sense. It is awesome!!!!
